Established in 2011, we set out to improve the quality and reliability of psychometric services to mental health agencies, psychologists and their clients. Since then, Psychology Group transformed into an organization that trains the next generation of psychometrists, provides full assessments to the public and psychometric services to psychologists, lawyers, counselors, teachers and parents everywhere

Darko Giacomini

Psychometrist & Psychometrician

Having extensive experience managing and supporting assessment validation and program evaluation-based projects within health care organizations and post-secondary institutions, Darko possesses comprehensive knowledge of evaluative analytics and advanced psychometrics.  

Much of his focus is on developing and improving assessment tools through rigorous research and validation processes, leading the development and implementation of evaluation plans and projects. Darko was responsible for coordinating with partners and administrators, monitoring and evaluating projects, providing technical support and providing suggestions for improvements.  

Darko has extensive experience in providing psychometric consultation within education for the EQAO modernization project as well as for clinical regulatory bodies designed to assess internationally trained medical students.

Dr. Jason Ramsay

Chief Psychology Officer

Dr. Jason Ramsay is the Chief Psychology Officer at Psychology Group and a founding partner and co-clinical manager of Niagara Psychological Wellness in St. Catherines, Ontario.

Dr. Ramsay received a Doctorate in Human Development and Applied Psychology from the University of Toronto. Awards from the University of Toronto, the Canadian Neurotrauma Foundation and the Whipper Watson Scholarship at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation supported his doctoral research. Dr. Ramsay was a post-doctoral fellow at St. Michael’s Hospital, Department of Psychiatry, and at the Centre for Research on Inner City Health in Toronto, supported by fellowships and awards from the Ontario HIV Treatment Network, The Canadian Institutes of Health Research-Strategic Training Program and the Peterborough K.M. Hunter Medical Research Program.

Dr. Ramsay has authored empirical research studies in peer reviewed medicine and social science journals, and has made numerous invited presentations at international conferences as well as at the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association conference. Dr. Ramsay holds the appointment of Clinical Assistant Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences.

Dr. Ramsay is a member of the Hamilton Medical Legal Society and is also the president-elect of the Ontario Psychological Association.

Christina Yuhanova

Chief Psychometric Instructor & President

Ms. Yuhanova is the Chief Psychometrist & President of Psychology Group.  She has extensive experience and expertise in a broad range of psychometric assessments. Having worked for several private psychology clinics before obtaining a position as a neuropsychometrist in the Neurology program at University Health Network (Toronto Rehabilitation Institute), where she conducted psychological and neuropsychological testing of head-injured workers referred by the Worker’s Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). Her work in these various settings provided Ms. Yuhanova with exposure to a broad spectrum of public mental health services models and administration systems.

Dr. Ken Colosimo

Psychometric Testing Instructor

Dr. Ken Colosimo completed his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from York University and is currently registering as a psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. He has trained and worked at several hospital and university sites in the Toronto Region providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment (personality disorder, mood/anxiety disorder, neuropsychological), primarily with adult populations, in addition to engaging in clinical research. His approach to therapy is evidence-based, integrative, and rooted in essential common factors as well as a range of specific approaches (cognitive-behavioural, humanistic-experiential, psychodynamic, and existential therapies). His main research interest is on the nature of therapeutic presence as a crucial therapist factor in effective therapy. He currently works in a private practice setting and is committed to deepening his understanding of human functioning and the art and science of clinical interviewing, assessment, and treatment.
