Dr. Ken Colosimo completed his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from York University and is currently registering as a psychologist (supervised practice) with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. He has trained and worked at several hospital and university sites in the Toronto Region providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment (personality disorder, mood/anxiety disorder, neuropsychological), primarily with adult populations, in addition to engaging in clinical research. His approach to therapy is evidence-based, integrative, and rooted in essential common factors as well as a range of specific approaches (cognitive-behavioural, humanistic-experiential, psychodynamic, and existential therapies). His main research interest is on the nature of therapeutic presence as a crucial therapist factor in effective therapy. He currently works in a private practice setting and is committed to deepening his understanding of human functioning and the art and science of clinical interviewing, assessment, and treatment.
